Cuidad Victoria, Mexico

By : Barbie | In : Cuidad Victoria

More and more people are discovering a better, less expensive, more fulfilling life in Mexico.

Here is yet *another* amazing email I just received from Bob Shand who moved to Cuidad (translation:  city) Victoria.

Here’s what Bob has to say:

Hi Barbie, just a quick note to let you know we are here in Mexico, finally. We settled in Ciudad Victoria, Tam on the 21st of Sept. We love it.

We have a very nice two bedroom house at the end of a quiet street in the Zona Centro. $250.00/month plus electric and gas. We have a maid three days a week for about three hours for 300 pesos a week.

Please feel free to share this info with anyone who asks. This is a beautiful area and should be one of the places people who want a quite retirement might want to look into.

Thanks for all of your help!

Sincerely,
Bob

Hey, Bob just found your letter of 08 on Barbie’s web site. My wife and I are planning a trip to Cuidad Victoria in February ’11. Maybe we could meet up and have a cup of coffee in the square. We are driving down from Iowa through Brownsville with our puppy.
Take care, Philip and Mary Eves

9/1/10 How was your trip? I was going over the border at Brownsville in May but stopped at Mexican Restaurant to eat and owner told me to not go because it was too dangerous. I did not go.

Loretta, we are not going until February 2011 but we still plan on making the trip. I know that Mexico has a bad rep. at the moment but we have always lived on our own terms, and all for the better.
