What a World – Your Computer Can Read Out Loud to You!

Free Books That Your Computer Will Read to You!

Holy Cow!  I just discovered something!!  I had to run out to the garage – where I can almost always find Dick working on one project or another – and have him come in to see!

Adobe Reader will now  read any PDF file out loud to you!!!  And that includes my books that I have for sale on site: Retire In Luxury and Money Saving Mexico , and my children’s book:  Jo’s Big Question – and also, all of my Free Reports which you can download free from my sites.

First of all, you need to download the latest version of Adobe – that’s free at:  http://get.adobe.com/reader/

That program will then reside in your computer.

Next, bring up a PDF document…such as one of my books, or one of my newsletters.

At the top of your screen, you will see the Adobe options.   Go to “VIEW”.

It has a drop-down menu, so select “Read Out Loud”, and it will say “Activate Read Out Loud”.  Select that too.

Then, select “VIEW” again, and under that, now select “Read Out Loud” again, and to the side you will have options to: 1. Deactivate Read Out Loud, 2. Read this page only, and 3. Read to end of document.  So, select which option you want.

Now, go back to the PDF document or file you have opened, make sure you have your speakers at a comfortable level, then just lean back and enjoy – ‘cause the durn computer thing will read the whole thing to you – ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!!  What a world!!

And, if you haven’t found these sites yet, try them:  You can download free classics at:    http://www.planetebook.com/ You can also download for your Kindles, your pc, or your IPod’s – totally free books at:  Amazon.com

Absolutely the right price for all of us retirees!

Love your information pertaining to ways to make living easier for us all, ie: wheelchair on a cruise, listening to books read, etc.
Keep the hints & tips coming. They’re so useful and many things I haven’t even thought about. Nancy

Why is it that nobody ever mentions the challemges in Mexico such as brown outs; power outages; power surges that knockout everything including your surge protection systems; water shortages, living in Mexico using power even partially as we did in Canada & USA is very expensive? Plus a non-Mexican pays more or is sometimes a traget when buying something or obtaining services making gringos a target by most Mexicans!
Nothing is ever really mentioned re the lack of judicial recourse because it does not exist. The incompetence of many doctors, (although Mexico has many great ones) but mostare useless and lack any knowledge or scruples.

The weaher is cooling down more during the past few years making heat an expensive alternative although cheaper than electricity.

The regular flooding that takes place and you really must be careful where you choose to reside.

We all know the great things and we would welcome being aware of the challenges.

Hi Larry – Since, hopefully most people moving to Mexico realize they are moving to a Third World Country, guess those things are just expected – and accepted. And I also hope people have researched and read sites such as mine, thoroughly before they made the decision to move to another country. Hope your cast has been removed by now.
    Best to you, Barbie
