What a great Christmas!
Everyone was here, including Grandkids! Lots of food, lots of talk, lots of gifts. All in all a lovely day! Today, I’m already missing all the Christmas music from the TV and the radio. Love all those beautiful songs. Maybe appreciate them even more because they only come around once a year, I guess. But, I’ll really be ready to listen to that music in just about 335 days from now!
Now, a very serious warning:
I just received an email – really looked just like it was from PayPal, which I have used… especially during this season. But, I thought about it a moment, and remembered my own advice… NEVER CLICK ON A LINK THAT IS IN AN EMAIL – unless you know the people personally – such as a family members, etc.
I immediately brought up my browser ( I use Internet Explorer, but there are others, such as Google Chrome…) entered www.Paypal.com into the address box and when it appeared, I logged in to my account – thank goodness. I immediately confirmed that the email was fake – what they call Phishing – a way to get information illegitimately through an email. Taking you to a fake site that you think is legitimate and asking for personal information. The fake charge, stated in the email, was for an item over $900 – which made me gasp! But, on the REAL PayPal site, in my account, nothing of the sort appeared. So, I quickly deleted the fake – phisher – email, and decided to get this reminder typed up for you all.
Do not click on links in email unless you KNOW they are from someone you know.
